In 2023, the Atlanta Falcons are anticipated to play a significant role in many fantasy football leagues.

While the Falcons are focused on winning the NFC South for the first time since 2016 in the actual world, Atlanta’s skill players will have an impact on fantasy football. Bijan Robinson is arguably the most notable rookie running back.

Robinson, 21 years old, was selected eighth overall in this year’s NFL Draft. He was also selected ninth in Sports Illustrated’s simulated fantasy draft.

In fantasy football drafts, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson may go early.

“I started my draft with Robinson, who is a first-round lock in most mock drafts and best-ball leagues,” writes fantasy expert Michael Fabiano.

Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings), Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers), Austin Ekeler (Los Angeles Chargers), Cooper Kupp (Los Angeles Rams), Ja’Marr Chase (Cincinnati Bengals), Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts), and Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins) were the players selected before Robinson. Consequently, Robinson is the fourth running back selected.

This season, Robinson is anticipated to play a significant role in the Falcons’ offense. Robinson earned unanimous All-American honors in 2022 with the Texas Longhorns after rushing for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging over six yards per carry. He was also a threat through the air, catching 19 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns.

The 12-team phantom draft also selected Drake London in Round 4, Kyle Pitts in Round 5, Cordarrelle Patterson in Round 10, and Tyler Allgeier in Round 12. If Robinson performs as he did in college for the Falcons, he should be the most valuable fantasy football player for Atlanta this season.
