During an interview with 93.7 The Fan, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett had a terrifying run-in with a car burglar who decided to steal his vehicle. The incident occurred while Pickett was on the air.
This past week, during an interview on a local sports radio station that lasted for a whole hour, Pickett’s vehicle was reportedly stolen, as reported by ESPN and Steelers Now. Christopher Carter, age 60, was taken into custody by the police and charged with the offense.
According to the reports, Carter removed the vehicle from the dealership shortly before 3:30 p.m., and authorities were able to recognize the license plates as belonging to Carter’s personal vehicle.
The Pittsburgh Steelers came dangerously close to a catastrophe.
Later on that day, police were called to Carter’s residence in response to a domestic dispute, and upon arrival, they discovered Pickett’s vehicle there.
Pickett’s playbook was likely concealed from Carter at the time he checked the car for its contents, as it was located inside the vehicle. In the event that information was divulged to an unauthorized third party or sold, the Steelers may be forced to rewrite their whole offensive before the start of the season.
Pickett has been given back both the automobile and the playbook that he had borrowed.
