Joseph Anderson, who hails from Bellevue, completed the Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) offered by General Motors at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in Ankeny.
Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, Illinois, which was Anderson’s sponsored dealership, decided to hire him.
DMACC and General Motors have collaborated to form a collaboration that will result in the provision of training for GM dealership technicians at both the entry-level and the advanced technology levels.
An Associate of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Technology is awarded to a student if they have successfully completed all five semesters of the program.
